MAN U ON FIRE

 ROO SCORES TWO

MANCHESTER UNITED SAIL THROUGH THE LAST SIXTEEN WITH A 4 – 0 VICTORY OVER AC MILAN AS ROONEY PUTS 2 PAST ABBIATI.

Man U joined Arsenal in the quarter finals.

The match was a game of two halves. AC Milan had roughly the same amount of chances as Man U but with the skill of Rooney they couldn’t contain him.

They came at a time when Man United had their chance, they took it and then they really started to excel.

Rooney was on fire: he netted two superb goals past Abbiati; Darren Fletcher and Je Sung Park scoring the others.

Chelsea will play Inter Milan on the 16TH of March at Stamford Bridge.

Can Chelsea follow Man U and Arsenal and proceed to the quarter finals?

Real Madrid couldn’t match their efforts.

Ronald’s goal wasn’t enough to beat an unstoppable force of the French side Lyon as they stormed to the quarter finals.

The Italian side Fiorentina won 3-2 beating the Germans Bayern Munich but it still wasn’t enough as Bayern went through on away goals.

Slim, World’s Scrooge

Mexican Miser Makes      More Than Gates

Fat Cats living in laps of luxury

Bill Gates’ 15 year reign as the world’s richest man
has ended. Carlos Slim took this opportunity to steal the

title by hoarding over 35.7 billion pounds.

Gates’ drop was due to his gifting of 58 billion to charity. However Mr. Slim’s opinion is very diferant, he claims “Poverty isn’t solved with donations.” Slim has seen his company’s prices rocket since the recession started, making over 20 billion through his family company Telecom. Critics have questioned whether he deserves the title of “richest man in the world” because of his Scrooge like behaviour. Slim meanly refuses to part with his riches, even to charities, unlike his rival.  At a time of recession, the increasing number of billionaires will no doubt anger the people who are loosing their property and children because they can not afford to keep them.  The top five richest people in the world control a total amount of 141 billion pounds, gaining 10% of their total amount per month. This figure is nearly as big as the GDP of Northern Ireland .
